offer

An offer is something someone puts forward for another person to accept or refuse. It can be a price for a car, a job, a helping hand, or a cup of coffee. The person making it expects a yes or no.

What a model may hear

SDP session description WebRTC and real-time media
Treat it as a structured message that negotiates audio, video, or data channels between browsers
contract or promise object programming and law tech
Parse it as a binding proposal with terms, conditions, and acceptance logic
auction bid e-commerce and ad tech
Interpret it as a programmatic bid in a real-time auction for ads or goods
network protocol handshake distributed systems
Expect it to initiate a two-phase commit or consensus round

Where people and models part ways

“I got an offer I want to think about”

Meant: Someone proposed something and the person needs time

May be taken as: The model may ask for the SDP payload or RTCPeerConnection state

Say instead: “Someone proposed a deal to me and I need time to decide”

“Make them an offer”

Meant: Propose terms to someone

May be taken as: The model may generate WebRTC signaling code or a contract schema

Say instead: “Draft a proposal with these terms for a person to consider”

“They keep making offers”

Meant: Repeated proposals in conversation or negotiation

May be taken as: The model may log repeated SDP messages or bid attempts as errors

Say instead: “They keep proposing new terms and I want to track them”
